The villa on Kalfarlien 18 in Bergen was designed by architect Einar Oscar Schou and was built in 1909. In this interactive story you are welcome to explore, get lost and trace evidence from the living history of the house.

By following the pictograms depicting details of the villas interior one will find photos, letters and archival material. Documents on display are coming from the municipal censuses for Bergen stored at the Population Register archive at the Regional State Archives in Bergen, as well as the municipal censuses for Bergen stored at Bergen Municipal Archive. Documentation from the latter includes; construction cases, building permits, registrations of later reconstructions, certificates, in addition to copies of architectural drawings with technical descriptions of the house.
